Last weekend I went to visit my parents at the Dominican Republic. We spent the weekend in Puerto Plata enjoying the beach.
It was nice to spend those days with them, to tell you the truth I didn't want to come back :( but I also missed my DH and our furry babies so I'm glad to be back home to them.

Enough about my mini vacation, now let's talk Lupron.
So you remember my post about starting my Lupron Depot treatment. I'm getting the once a month shots for 3 months to try and get my endo and pain under control. Well that has been a success. I've been pain free since. Out of all the side effects the Lupron gives I'm getting the night sweats and the ACNE!!
I cant believe I have to deal with Acne at the age of 31!! It's horrible, I have it all over my jawline and neck. So gross. Add that to the weight gain and I'm a total disaster. I've been putting on a bunch of creams to try to calm the volcanos invading my face but nothing works. Anybody has a good product they could recommend?
Tomorrow I start a diet. Yes I'm one of those people who start their diets on Mondays and by Monday night the diet is over hahahaha I'll really try to stick to it this time. I need to lose weight!!
I got a new bike, and we're taking our babies for rides so at least I' doing some exercise.
How cute is my bike?? :) I loveee pink.

So for the last update, I went to the Fertility clinic for my 1 month checkup after the Lupron treatment and to get my 2nd shot.
The Dr did and ultrasound and decided I need surgery again. He needs to remove my left fallopian tube which is blocked and now enlarged. I still don't know the exact date. Will keep you updated on that.
I'm not scared of having the surgery, I'm actually really excited about it because that way he can just check inside and see if everything is under control and if that tube is the source of the pain then I'll be happy living without it. I don't want to feel more pain when the effect of the Lupron goes off.
That's it for now, will keep you updated during the week.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!!!
xoxo

What a beautiful place... looks so relaxing :)) I wouldn't have wanted to come home either. Glad that you're feeling OK about the surgery and knowing that it's bringing you one step closer to your dream xoxo
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing trip! I'm glad the lupron is helping somewhat but I hated the side effects when I was on it too- ugh. Love your bike :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it crazy how we endo girls look forward to surgery?? I have a friend who was terrified of having a C section because of the "surgery" part. I tried not to laugh... Some day when our dreams are realized and they do our final surgery we'll look back on all the others and the crazy meds and we'll say it was all worth it!
ReplyDeleteLooks like an amazing trip. And I love the new bike!
ReplyDeleteTotally jealous of your trip! I have to say, you are handling the Lupron shots a LOT better than I did. I was miserable and cranky and had hot flashes like I don't even know what! Hopefully the combo of this and your surgery will make you feel better! Good to see you back to blogging!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you're feeling better. Endo pain sucks. I am sooo jealous of that picture on the beach. And, you bike is awesome. Have a great week, and thank you for your kind words.
