As if things couldn't get more depressing... The hospital bill for my baby less delivery came up to $67,140.69. I have an international insurance that is apparently very good on catastrophic scenarios, pregnancy not so much. My Insurance only covers $5,400 so We're left with a $61,540.69 bill left.
Isn't that just great!! (Sarcasm)
On the IVF front I'm already on my 3rd day of stims, so far everything has been good. I've had some pain today since AF decided to show up. Sunday I have the first U/S and B/W to see how we're doing. Hopefully follies are growing.
Can something go right for once?

Oh my, that is awful. I feel and understand your pain. We want to do IVF again but are still paying on the last round that didnt work. I dont know how to come up with the money to try again. Will be thinking of you.

DeleteHoly crap! That is a huge bill. I have heard about people successfully getting out of hospital bills (not the dr part but the hospital part). I hope that there is some relief somewhere there for you - to come he with no babies and to receive a $70k bill for it. Well, something is not right with the world. I'm sorry. :(. I hope that this new ivf brings a successful stress free pregnancy.

DeleteWhat? The? Eff? That is absolutely ridiculous. Utterly and completely ridiculous. I would contact the hospital FOR SURE- there has got to be some way they can work with you on this one, given the insurance circumstances.

Thank you Jesica! I hope you start to feel better. I know how you feel with the zits situation! I had a terrible breakout!!! It was horrible. I had spots that looked like somebody burned me with a cigarette!! I blame it on the PIO shots. As soon as I stopped the shots the breakouts stopped!
DeleteSorry to hear about the bill.. that has to be a big blow to you aside from your loss.. gotta stay strong though. Hopefully you won't have to pay the full thing.. maybe you can do payments .. or there is a chance that they can discount it or something..

DeleteFight it. Do what you can, that is inexcusable. I can identify that horrible feeling of paying a delivery bill with no babies to show for it. It's heartbreaking.

Thank you Alissa, I'm trying to fix that. If only I had my babies with me then all the expense would be so worth it. I hope you're feeling better. Was reading your post today it really makes sense the IC with all that has happened. I hope you can get an answer. I still don't have answers, but my Dr's are suggesting a cerclage if I get pregnant again and make it to 12 weeks, just as a prevention.
