About my second Beta.
I just found online a company called PrePaidLab you buy the test you need online and they send you a requisition for your lab. Then they'll send me the results via email.
I hope is not a scam!!! have you heard about this service?

I've never commented before but do you have a MEA or a walk in clinic in your area? I had a scare at the beginning of my pregnancy and my dr doesn't do betas so I went to a MEA and they offer two different type of pregnancy blood tests. I don't remember the names but once is just to see if the pregnancy hormone is present, the other is done in a set of two within 48 or 72 hours of each other. That way you could get your exact levels.

Granted I am not an expert- but I was so so surprised to hear that your doc only does one beta. My understanding (maybe my understanding is limited but) was that they did two so they could make sure it was rising appropriately. Can you push your clinic to get it done? I've also heard that different labs could end up with different results- so labs I have heard about have encouraged patients to get both betas at the same place.

hi there. thanks for the kind comment on my blog. and huge congrats for your fab beta! as for the (lack of a ) second one--i'd either call and start sobbing and begging for a second one, or in line with my new ignorance is bliss stance in life, i'd try to "enjoy" (while freaking the heck out inside probably) being pregnant until proven otherwise by the u/s. also, symptoms often don't kick in for a couple of more weeks, which sucks and is great :) anyways, cheering that things go smoothly for you!
